The project
Our package at this indoor tennis centre in Wimbledon: the curved timber-faced acoustic ceiling over the courts, slatted timber wall panels and curved timber linings, acoustic absorbing panels (Class A) and oak slat panels.
High reverberation times made communication and teaching difficult. The acoustic absorbing panels and oak slat panels were designed to reduce echo while keeping the timber look of the building.
Reverberation time reported for the hall: 2.8 s → 1.0 s.
